Fix for Apex 7.9.3 Data Replication Issue

After installing Apex 7.9.3 on a new PC, or after upgrading an existing PC to Apex 7.9.3, we have observed that Data Replication (The service that sends and recieves data to Apex office) may not work right away. Following installation, the following steps are needed to enable data replication on Apex 7.9.3 systems:

1.

Navigate to:
C: > CAI > Apex > DataReplication.ReplicationConfiguration.exe
Modify existing config. Open only one. Hit black checkmark to save it. Close it.

2.

Go to Windows Services.
Restart 'CAI Apex Data Replication Service'

3.

If missing ticket records need to be resent to the Apex office environment, run the following SQL:

Using JwsData(NEA/PAD):
update tkscale set exportstatus = 'E'
update tkscale set exportstatus = 'A'

4.

Verify that missing tickets have begun replicating back to Apex office by viewing logs:

C: > CAI > Apex > Log(s) > DataReplicationService > (Sort by date)
Pick today's logfile and scroll to bottom of document
Keep opening / closing the logfile until you see: 'Xfer batch... tkscale' showing row transfer after a few minutes

5.

If Apex data replication is still failing, reach out to command alkon support.

*Important* This procedure may result in duplicate scale ticket records that need to be cleaned up in Apex office before posting/billing
