Password Reset Instructions

Description

A guide on how to reset your password through either your mobile device or computer.

Change password through your mobile device

  1. Ensure that you are in an area with good reception
  2. Open the Comp Portal app on your device
  3. Tap on your profile icon at the top of the screen
  4. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)On the profile pop-up, tap on 'Change password'
  5. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)You will be redirected to the Change password page to enter a new password
    • Your new password must be a minimum of 15 characters long
    • Numbers and special characters are no longer required
    • Cannot contain any words from the Banned Passwords List
    • Cannot be a recently used password 
  6. Once your password has been changed, and barring any special circumstances, you will not be required to change it again

Change password through your computer

  1. Ensure that you are connected to the Walbec network through an ethernet cable in the office, through the private wifi, or through the VPN if working remotely.
  2. Locate the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys on your keyboard then press them down altogether
  3. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)  ​Click on the ‘Change a password’ option that appears
  4. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Enter your current password, your new password, and then re-enter your new password to confirm
    • Your new password must be a minimum of 15 characters long
    • Numbers and special characters are no longer required
    • Cannot contain any words from the Banned Passwords List
    • Cannot be a recently used password
  5. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Once your password has been changed, and barring any special circumstances, you will not be required to change it again
